| Measure Minute Changes in Small Tree Trunk Circumferences |
Easy to install and to read, this constant band tension instrument allows you to observe daily and seasonal fluctuations in trunk circumference due to rainfall, tree growth, changes in the environment, overall tree health, and more. Designed for use with trees 20 mm in diameter and larger, the stainless steel and brass dendrometer is appropriate for various levels of forestry studies. Obtain readouts of circumference changes by visually determining changes in the position of a movable inner tube relative to a fixed outer tube. For advanced users, the corner of the square outer tube provides a unique path for determination of circumference changes with a high resolution digital caliper, available separately. The resolution for visual readouts is 0.1 mm, and 0.01 mm for the external caliper readout. Includes instructions.
