Great Thermal Conductivity Demonstration
|
A unique way to teach principles of conductivity of heat as well as the scientific method, this set consists of two blocks of nearly the same appearance, but composed of different materials. One block seems cold to the touch while the other seems warm. Ask students if they think it would take longer for an ice cube to melt on the cold block. Place an ice cube on each block and watch the dramatic difference in how fast it melts. Includes instructions. Size of each block: 3 3/4″ square.
