Students will learn how to use the scientific method and experimental design as they manipulate the substrate-enzyme-product relationship by changing the conditions in a simulated reaction vessel. The reaction is automatically graphed as the experiment runs and when it’s finished, student can save and print their experiment. The software includes two modules in order to run the experiments in a variety of ways. The Research Lab enables you to control multiple variables in the reaction vessel, including the type and concentrations of enzymes and substrates, the product examined, the temperature, and the pH. The Controlled Lab includes five different experiments that enable you to observe and analyze enzyme behavior when only one condition is being manipulated.
