Students will quantify the amount of total cholesterol present in three standard serum samples by using a spectrophotometer set to read at 500 nm. They will then use the values from the known samples to quantify the amount of total cholesterol present in an unknown sample. For a safe, but realistic experience, real sera from non-human sources are provided, so your students won’t handle any human body fluids. The kit includes instructions and reagents to test 40 students. A spectrophotometer, waterbath, and cuvettes, required, are available separately. Note: Includes perishable materials. Please specify delivery date.
