This 12 parallel channel receiver was designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). It also allows you to save 500 waypoints by name and graphic symbol, ten tracks, and 20 reversible routes with up to 50 waypoints. The trip computer will calculate your current speed, average speed, and time of sunrise and sunset. Additional features include a resetable maximum speed, trip timer, and trip odometer. The base map includes lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, national and state highways, railroads, and coastlines, but will also accept up to 8MB of downloaded data from Garmin’s MapSource CD-ROM series. The unit is waterproof and comes with a 2″H x 1″W high-contrast LCD display and a PC cable. Two AA batteries, required, are available separately. Size: 4 1/2″L x 2″W x 1 1/4″D; weight: 5.3 oz.
