Digital Soil Moisture Tester |
Determine Soil Moisture Levels at Depths Up to Six Feet |
This tester measures available soil moisture, soil moisture tension, or electrical resistance, and gives an instant digital readout as often as needed. Long-lasting, porous gypsum blocks, available separately, can be attached to dedicated lead wires and buried in the soil at varying depths; when connected to the tester, an instant, calibrated readout is given. Convert the readout results to available soil moisture or soil moisture tension by referring to a conversion chart for calibration curves that is included with the instructions. Ranges from 0.1–15 bars tension can be measured. The meter is housed in a sturdy ABS plastic case, measures just 4 3/4″L x 2 3/4″W x 1 1/2″H, and operates on a 9 VDC battery (included).
