| Fourteen Parts Show Relationship Between Sections of Skull |
Replica. With this model, it’s easy for students to learn the shape, size, and relationships between the different parts of the skull as they take the life-size skull apart and put it back together. The plastic plugs on each piece make it quick and easy to fit each piece into the inserts. Removable parts include the sphenoid, occipital, and two temporal lobes; two parietal and one frontal lobe; right maxilla, left maxilla, lacrimal, nasal, and palatine bones; paired zygomatic bones; ethmoid; vomer; and mandible. The palate, sutures, nasals, and lacrimals have been modified slightly to accommodate casting and assembly. Choose the skull with a natural appearance, for a realistic depiction of the bones, or the model with colored parts that reinforce students’ memory of each segment. A manual identifying 18 bones and assembly instructions is included. Size: 8 1/2″L x 5 1/4″W x 6 1/2″H.
