Metamorphic rocks are formed when “parent rocks” are subjected to temperature and pressure increases, and often chemical action. Twelve samples of parent rocks are mounted in a column on the Metamorphic Rock Chart. Three other columns indicate the metamorphic rocks that would be produced under increasing temperature and pressure. The chart is mounted in a wooden frame. Specimen size: 1–1 1/2″. Size: 18″ x 24″.
