Created in cooperation with NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey, this accurate scale model of Venus was created with the surface data obtained by the Magellan orbiter between 1990 and 1994. Elevations are represented by various colors, and all major landforms are labeled. For an even closer look at the planet, craters, faults, lava plains, and “pancake” domes are featured in 3-D. It comes with a base, two pairs of 3-D glasses and “Exploring Venus”, a 24-page article originally published in Sky & Telescope magazine. Size: 12″ dia.
