Your students will be able to actually see a normally invisible convection current in action and understand how hot and cold air make the current flow. Air, heated by a candle, moves up one chimney, while cooler air moves down the other chimney to replace the lost air. Smoke-producing paper makes this air motion visible to the class. The kit includes a metal box with a glass front for easy viewing, two acrylic chimneys, and paper. Size of box: 9″L x 4″W x 4″H.
