This magnificent panorama of the Milky Way, assembled by astrophotographer Axel Mellinger, is composed of 18 wide-angle images. Over a span of two and a half years, Mellinger traveled to different observing sites the world over to capture these shots. He then digitized all the exposures and stitched them together into this seamless and timeless mosaic. The inset identifies the major constellations, as well as the bright stars. Size: 48 1/2″ x 10″.
