Students use the differently colored wooden balls to represent various atoms, while wooden pegs and helical springs are used to represent the various types of bonds between each atom. The varying lengths of the pegs and springs accurately depict these bonds to scale. You can also use this set to bring your lectures to life with classroom demonstrations. The set contains ten 2″ springs, forty 1 1/4″ and 2 1/8″ wooden pegs, and fifty-four 1/8″ and 1 1/4″ wooden balls, including ten carbon (black), two nitrogen (blue), 28 hydrogen (yellow), six oxygen (red), four chlorine (green), two bromine (red), and two iodine/fluorine (purple). The set also includes instructions.
