Ten interactive laboratory simulations cover topics on basic ecology, evolution, genetics and heredity, selective advantage, diversity, diseases, energy flow, animal conservation, environmental problems, population dynamics, ecosystems, scientific inquiry, science and technology, and more. Students will learn about these concepts by performing modeling similar to those performed by practicing scientists. The labs are built around communities of species shown in an onscreen world, which you use as they are or you can manipulate the sample and plot statistics, as well as change the rules governing its behavior. You can even create your own labs using the modeling tools included on the software.
