| High Precision Liquid-In-Glass Thermometers |
These colorful glass thermometers are based on Galileo’s theory developed over 400 years ago. This theory states that when in liquid, a body of fixed mass becomes less buoyant as the liquid temperature rises, and more buoyant as the temperature decreases due to the changes in liquid density. As the ambient temperature changes, the multi-colored balls in these thermometers will rise and fall. The lowest ball at the top of the instrument indicates the ambient temperature. Average temperature range: 64–80°F.
